Eating disorders, ADHD-focused treatment, psychosis
I believe therapy is not a cure-all, and results are influenced by factors like readiness to explore your trauma, current life circumstances that can make it difficult to prioritize therapy, and ultimately, whether or not we are a good fit as client and counselor.
My approach to counseling is to empower clients to practice wellness and accomplish their personal, interpersonal, and holistic goals. In addition to EMDR, I draw from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.
You can expect to be an active participant in your treatment, because I believe clients know themselves best. I hope to help you develop improved emotion regulation, social skills, boundaries, and resilience around your traumatic experiences. Through these accomplishments in therapeutic work, you may feel more hopeful, feel less hypervigilance, and discover new things about yourself.
