Overview

Kirkland EMDR Counseling is a 100% virtual group practice seeking a highly qualified EMDRIA Approved Consultant to provide remote EMDR Group and Individual Consultation. This role supports both our internal staff clinicians and a select group of external community clinicians. Our practice is grounded in cultural humility and an anti-oppressive framework. We are insurance-based and accept Apple Health (Medicaid) in our endeavor to provide quality, accessible trauma care to diverse communities.

This is a wonderful position for the consultant that is looking for a stable group, supporting future EMDR clinicians, and doesn’t want to create something from scratch (marketing, systems, billing).

Important Note on Clinical Level: This is an advanced consultation position. You will not be managing basic training requirements, as all participants have already completed their EMDR Basic Training and initial 10 hours. While several attendees are actively pursuing their EMDRIA Certification, others attend purely for advanced case conceptualization, skill building, and community support.

Consultation Services Scope

  • Group Consultation: Facilitate a monthly 60-minute EMDR Group Consultation session (held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11:00 AM PT) for a mixed group of internal employees and external clinicians. Per EMDRIA guidelines, the group is strictly capped at 8 attendees.

  • Group Facilitation Management: Support internal and external clinicians attending the group through facilitating the EMDR Group, as well as sharing helpful worksheets and resources for further learning/growth as necessary. This also includes tracking their group attendance, sending an attendance receipt, and providing letters of recommendation for EMDRIA Certification when appropriate.

  • Individual Consultation (Internal Staff Only): Provide 1-on-1 Individual EMDR Consultation exclusively to Kirkland EMDR Counseling internal staff as requested for their Certification journey. (Note: The practice does not sponsor individual consultation for external clinicians).

  • Clinical Mentorship: Offer expert guidance on clinical casework, target sequencing, and advanced EMDR techniques. Experience with Parts Work/IFS/Ego States ideal. Support collaborative consultation, focus on a liberation and anti-oppressive lens of doing EMDR.

Compensation & Perks

  • $200 per live EMDR Group Consultation (60 minutes). Billed directly to the practice. (Kirkland EMDR Counseling manages all marketing, registration, and financial billing for attendees).

  • $185 per Individual EMDR Consultation towards certification (60 minutes). Billed directly to the practice for internal employees only. May also consider post-certification consultation for internal clinicians as needed with practice approval.

  • Bonus Lead Generation: You are explicitly welcome to transition any external community clinicians from the monthly group into your own private practice for individual consultation. Kirkland EMDR Counseling does not require a fee split or non-compete for these direct relationships.

Required Qualifications

  • Fully licensed mental health professional.

  • Must be an EMDRIA Approved Consultant (Please note: we are unable to accept Consultants-in-Training for this specific role).

  • Must demonstrate alignment with Kirkland EMDR Counseling’s organizational values, including cultural humility, collaboration, and trauma-informed care.
